Since making a career in tourism, my dream was to be a part of a few students to serve as one of the school’s representatives at the Tourism Regional Summit in 2022.
As I dedicated myself wholeheartedly for tourism, I am making my living as a tour guide with our incoming visitors to Haiti. I am currently working as one of the leaders of Haiti New Life Tourism Department. I will do everything I can to excel in this field by promoting tourism and share the gospel when opportunity arises.

My name is Daniel Julien. I was born and raised in a poor family. When I grew up, I thought my life would turn out to be a disaster because I could not foresee how I would be able to pay for a technical college or university where I desired to be a tour guide. Everywhere I looked it was very expensive. Therefore, I was concerned for my future. I have heard of an excellent college called New Life Technical College located in the Vaudreuil areas for an affordable price, I registered with them back in 2020. Two years later, I got my Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality Management.
After my graduation, I was hired as a customer service employee at a prestigious hotel called “Lakou Breda” in the Cap-Haitian. My job was to welcome, assist customers, provide food, beverages, and to ensure that they were satisfied through attentive service. I also take visitors on to some of our beautiful sites here in Haiti.
In addition, I am teaching staff the many things I have learned through my training with HNLM. Their goal is to raise up the next Haitian generation to change Haitians and to stay in Haiti. Thanks to the New Life Technical College and staff.

Yranel Francois is a young man who came to New Life Technical College to study agriculture. When the registration officer asked him for the registration fee, he said that he doesn’t have it, but he would like to study. The registration officer did not know what to do about that case so she asked Dr. Lucner, the Haiti New Life Ministries director.
Dr. Lucner had compassion as he understood what it meant to have nothing and said we should give him a chance. Dr. Lucner paid the registration fee for him out of his own pocket (500 gourdes which is about $5). He dedicated all his efforts to learn and be a good student in the agriculture program. Yranel received a scholarship with the understanding, as long as he has good grades, he will not be asked to drop out.
During his first year of study, Yranel put into practice everything he learned from his classroom and ended up growing “Cocoa.” With the cocoa crops, Yranel was able to find money to pay for his second year of the program and he was able to provide: food for his community, making money to help his family, and providing some money to help pay for some new students. Today, Yranel is a well-respected man in his community because of what he is producing. Thanks for joining us in our quest and journey to change life in Haiti. lcome partnerships with churches, nonprofits, and donors who share our mission. I was raised in a Christian home. When I was 2 years old, I was very sick and was told I would die shortly. When my parents heard the news, they made a vow to the Lord if He would heal me, I would become a Pastor in order to reach people for Him. When my parents heard the news, they made a vow to the Lord if He would heal me, I would become a Pastor in order to reach people for Him. I was healed immediately after that promise was made to the Lord.
At my early age, I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. I went to seminary after high school and graduated with a Bachelor degree in theology in 2007. Then, I went to Wesley Biblical Seminary in Jackson, Mississippi, and graduated with a master in Divinity in 2012. I went to NYACK, Alliance Theological Seminary (ATS) and graduated with a Doctorate degree in Global Leadership in 2019. I had the privilege to go to Israel for Practical Understanding in Religion and Anthropology.
During those studies, I was married to Luna Jean-Francois with whom I have 4 children. In 2008, we began an English school to help the people in the Cap-Haitian community in order to extend their range of knowledge and connection.
We met Gary and LeAnne at the OMS compound in 2008. God brought us together with the same vision to teach trades such as sewing, electricity, tourism, computer, mechanic, welding, agriculture, plumbing etc. to the Haitian people. We decided to create the Haiti New Life Ministries, Inc in 2012. under which umbrella we created New Life Technical College to create learning opportunities, and hope for the Haiti people. After learning from us, they would go back home, and create jobs for themselves. And this is exactly what is happening there. In 2022, under the Presidency of Dr. Gail Longbotham, we created The Messiah University, and opened doors and opportunities to those who are seeking a career with a Bachelor, Master or Doctorate degree from Haiti.
Since our goal is to create a New Life for the Haitian people through the power of the Gospel, we invite you to please join us in this quest, and adventure for the Glory of God.

Meet Lovelie
I am learning to sew so that I can better take care of my family. Although I did not complete high school, I am determined to learn a trade that will allow me to provide for those who depend on me.
God knows my heart and my needs, and I will never forsake Him.
After my father passed away, my mother became unable to provide for my siblings and our family. My other siblings are not in a position to help, so I feel a deep responsibility to step in and support everyone.
I am married and have three children of my own. My husband is unable to work due to a serious lung disease, which makes our situation even more difficult. Currently, I work as a housekeeper, but I am striving to learn sewing so I can build a better future for my family.
Thank you for your prayers and for giving me the opportunity to receive this scholarship.
